How it works
Sit down, take a sheet, take your time. Nobody reads it but the person you address it to.
We close it with real wax at the table, and it stays closed until the day it arrives.
Pick the day we mail it: a year from today, or two weeks before a birthday, an anniversary, a graduation. We write it on the envelope.
We keep it safe and post it on the day you chose. It arrives 7 to 10 days later anywhere in the continental US: a small envelope from the past, and you remember who you were when you wrote it.
What you get
Everything you need is on the table when you sit down. Take as long as you like; the stall is not in a hurry and neither is the letter.
Sealed until the date you chose.

Who to write to
A year from today. What you hope for, what you are worried about, what you want to remember. Future you is easy to write to.
A parent, a child, a friend, a partner. Pick a mailing date a couple of weeks before the day that matters to them, and it arrives in time.

We pop up on both sides of the state line: farmers markets on Saturdays, partner cafes, and holiday markets this winter. The first dates are being confirmed now, and every confirmed one is on the dates page.
Where this came from
Enclosed, With Love started at a cafe table in Paris, where Katie and her mom each wrote a letter to themselves and agreed to open them a year later. The letters arrived; the year had changed them both. The idea was too good to keep. Read the story
